Resolved issues

The following is a list of issues addressed in this release.

Table 1: General resolved issues in version 6.0.1
Resolved Issue Issue ID

Previously, systemctl could not stop or restart the vasd service after upgrading Safeguard Authentication Services from version 5.x to 6.x.

This issue is now fixed.

464332

Previously, some UNIX-enabled groups have been temporarily missing after upgrading or performing the first flush. However, a later flush could fix and fetch the groups correctly. This issue is now fixed.

NOTE: This issue affects versions 5.1.2, 5.1.3, and 6.0.0.

464324

If an Active Directory user logs in to a computer for the first time, their home directory is created. Previously, during the creation of the home directory, various errors could occur if the home directory attribute of the user in AD accidentally contained a space, for example:

/home/ myusername

This issue is now fixed.

464443

Previously, during Kerberos ticket renewal, both the old and the renewed credentials were missing from the credential cache for a short time. This could lead to failing service ticket requests, if the request was initiated at that exact moment in time.

This issue is now fixed.

System requirements

Before installing Safeguard Authentication Services 6.0.1, ensure that your system meets the minimum hardware and software requirements for your platform. The operating system patch level, hardware, and disk requirements vary by UNIX, Linux, and Active Directory platform, and are detailed in the One Identity Safeguard Authentication Services Administration Guide.

NOTE: When setting up a virtual environment, carefully consider the configuration aspects such as CPU, memory availability, I/O subsystem, and network infrastructure to ensure the virtual layer has the necessary resources available.
