Microsoft has a security feature which they call a "Group Managed Service Account" or gMSA. This is described in detail here:
Active Roles fully supports the creation of Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSAs).
However, Active Roles cannot leverage a service account that is a gMSA. It is expected that certain features, especially related to Remote PowerShell connectivity, will not function. As of Active Roles 7.0, this is an unsupported configuration.
