High CPU load on SQL Server when requesting Change History information -
Description
You may have noticed that your SQL Server’s CPU load may ramp-up whenever you query object’s Change History information. The MMC may even crash in the process.

Cause
This is caused by the large amount of data stored in the Management History DB. This is by design, the existing can lead to High CPU Load in SQL and/or AR MMC unresponsiveness.
An Enhancement Request (TF00759768) has been raised to revisit the existing code.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Revisit your existing Change History configuration to reduce the amount of data collected and stored in the MH DB.
STATUS
The product team will evaluate the request and this feature may become available on a future release of the product.
