Attempting to specify a gMSA as a Managed Domain proxy account fails with the error: The user name or password is incorrect (4336760)

Attempting to specify a gMSA as a Managed Domain proxy account using either the Active Roles Console or the Active Roles Management Shell fails with the error:

The user name or password is incorrect.

This is expected product functionality.

It is not possible to manage a domain using a gMSA account at this time.

An enhancement request has been created to integrate this functionality into Active Roles. This request is being tracked as Enhancement ID 223918.

Product Management will evaluate the request and this feature may become available in a future release of the product. There are no guarantees that this specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release.
