Description
This article will describe two methods to Scope an Access Template in order to delegate the necessary permissions. -
Cause
There are multiple ways that Access Templates can be delegated. It can be applied at the User, Group, Container, OU, Domain, or even at the highest level Active Directory. All these items are called objects. -
Resolution
There are two methods that can be used to scope the Access Template permissions:
- Add the object User/Group to the Access Template directly to apply the delegated permissions.
- Right-click the Container/OU, Domain, Active Directory level and assign the Access Template to the object in order to delegate the permissions.
Method 1:
After step 2 above the Delegation wizard will prompt for Users or Groups, and then ask what Access Template to assign to the object.
Method 2:
After step 3 above the Delegation wizard will prompt for Users or Groups, and then ask what Access Template to assign to the object.
