How to: Extend the export limit on in the Web Interface when exporting items to a CSV file

When exporting items from the Web Interface to a CSV file, the process only exports 10,000 objects.

Configuration setting in the Web Interface configuration.

Enhancement ID 420346 has been created to make this setting easier to change.

To extend the export limit to a value greater than 10,000, please follow the steps.

Note: Please perform the following steps with caution and always make a backup of the Web Configuration and/or Database before making any of the changes below.

1. Connect to the Active Roles MMC
   • Set to Raw Mode
2. Go to Application Configuration > Web Interface, locate the Web Interface site configuration
   • Expand the site
   • Expand Interface Settings
3. Open Advanced Properties of the Working Copy object
   • Right Click Working Copy
   • Select Properties
   • Select the Object tab
   • Select Advanced Properties
4. Check Show All Possible Attributes 
5. Locate the edsaWISettings attribute and open its value for editing
6. Locate the GlobalSettings item in the xml value
   • Modify MaxRowsWhenSaveCSV to the desired value
7. Save the changes
8. Reload the Web Interface

An Enhancement Request has been created to update this functionality in Active Roles.

Product Management will evaluate the request and this feature may become available in a future release of the product.

There are no guarantees that this specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release.
