Error when attempting to connect to AD LDS Instance: "There is no such object on the server" (4265815)

When attempting to add an AD LDS instance to be managed in Active Roles, the following error is observed:

There is no such object on the server.

Property: edsaLDAPPort

AD LDS instance can be registered as managed AD LDS instance if it can be contacted on the network and it is not already registered with Active Roles.

This error may be observed due to either insufficient permissions or connectivity issues.

Please check the following:

1. Confirm that the AD LDS server is accessible from the ARS server, and the required ports are open between the ARS and AD LDS servers
   • By default, ports 389 for LDAP and 686 for SSL (if configured)
2. Confirm that the Active Roles service account is in the Administrators group in the AD LDS configuration partition

     Please note that it may be required to restart the AD LDS service instance.
3. If any application/directory partitions have been created, confirm that the Active Roles service account is in the Administrators group of each application/directory partition
