Newly created Dynamic Groups do not update over 1,000 objects -
Description
When creating a new Dynamic Group, the group membership will stop processing at 1000 (occasionally 1001) objects. Rebuilding the group or running Dynamic Group related scheduled tasks does not resolve the issue. -
Cause
This issue is a product defect and is being tracked as Defect ID 724856. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Enable Dynamic Group Co-existence by completing the following steps:
- On the Active Roles host, open the Registry Editor by navigating to Start | Run and typing regedit
- If using Active Roles 7.1, navigate to the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dell\Active Roles\7.1\Service
- If using Active Roles 7.2, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\7.2\Service
- Create a new DWORD (32-bit) entry named RebuildDG_CoExist and set the value to 1
After completing the steps above, restart the Active Roles Administration Service. Then, locate your Dynamic Group and press the Rebuild button.
STATUS
Fixed in Active Roles 7.1 Public Hotfix 232941 and in Active Roles 7.2.1.
