How to allow users change a custom created attribute in own account information on self service portal by following the the steps bellow. In this scenario we are assuming an already existing custom attribute edsva_ImportantShare do exist.
1- Create an additional custom template called Self- Account Management Custom under Access Templates/User Self-management
2- Open Self - Account Management Custom the newly created access template and then go to Permissions and then click Add then select User then Next. In the next window check Object property access and then select both Read properties & Write properties and then Next
3- On next window select The following properties and lookup for the edsva_ImportantShare select it then click Finish. Please ensure you check Show all possible properties before looking up for virtual attribute. The end result for Self - Account Management Custom should look like:
4- The end result at the end user's Profile Editor for the virtual attribute edsva_ImportantShare Displayed as Share "Very Important" is now editable in own account information on Active Roles self service management portal.
