How to: Escalate approval when initial approver is away
Description
There is a requirement to run an approval workflow to escalate the approval via email when the initial approver is away.
Resolution
1.- "Manager of operation requestor" must approve the request. 2.- If the "Manager of the operation requestor" does not approve for instance within 1 hour, then escalate the request to the "Secondary Manager of the operation requestor":
3.- In order for the Secondary approver to be notified via email, a notification setting for the 1st escalation needs to be set:
