Description
The Active Roles Console disconnects every 20-30 minutes with a TCP socket error.

Cause
Active Roles client communication requires connectivity on port 15172.
This port is open, but the connection is passing through a load balancer, proxy server, or other appliance which is not allowing SSL persistence on port 15172.

Resolution
Reconfigure the appliance which sits between the Active Roles servers and the Active Roles clients to allow SSL persistence on port 15172.
Note: Verify that the Windows Firewall is not blocking traffic if it is enabled, or add a rule if it must remain enabled to allow port 15172.
