Attempting to add a replication partner to an existing replication fails with the following error:

Failed to get required data from the specified Administration Service due to insufficient access rights. Try to connect using a different user name.

CAUSE 1

There is an Active Roles permissions issue.

CAUSE 2

The Active Roles Console on the Active Roles publisher cannot connect to the Active Roles Administration Service on the subscriber due to a port connectivity issue.

RESOLUTION 1

Ensure that the account used to establish replication is an Active Roles Admin on both the publisher and subscriber Active Roles Administration Service nodes.

RESOLUTION 2

Ensure that the Active Roles Console can connect to the Active Roles Administration Service the subscriber. All Active Roles clients connect using port 15172. If this port is not open, firewall rules must be changed in order to allow this connection.
