The Active Roles Server is not accessible from either the Active Roles Console or the Web Interface.
The Active Roles Event Viewer logs contain the following error message:
This issue may be resolved by restoring the entire SQL database from a SQL backup file.
It is also possible to restore the encryption key from a backup file or to reset it.
To restore the encryption key from a backup file:
Navigate to Start | All Programs | One Identity Active Roles 7.x and click on "Active Roles 7.x Management Shell".
Use the Restore-AREncryptionKey cmdlet to restore the key from the backup.
To reset the encryption key:
Navigate to Start | All Programs | One Identity Active Roles 7.0x and click on "Active Roles 7.x Management Shell".
Use the Reset-AREncryptionKey cmdlet to create a new encryption key.
