Using Microsoft Exchange cmdlets, a Shared mailbox can be created by using a cmdlet similar to the following:
Set-Mailbox -Identity Name -Type Shared
How can this be accomplished via an Active Roles client?
Set edsva-MsExch-CreateSharedMailbox to TRUE using any Active Roles client in order to create a Shared mailbox.
This trigger requires that the target User account be disabled and also that the target account has a value set in the mailNickname (alias).
This can be set using any Active Roles client.
The Active Roles Management Shell could be used to set this value in a manner similar to the following:
