Active Roles ADSI Provider (EDMS) is not respecting the Active Roles Administration Service passed and is connecting to another Active Roles Administration Service in the domain -
Description
When leveraging the Active Roles ADSI Provider (the EDMS protocol) it should be possible to connect to a specific Active Roles Administration Service by referencing the service name.
However, the EDMS connection is made to an unexpected Active Roles Administration Service (instead of the named service, the EDMS connection is with a service that is found via a Service Connection Point in the Active Directory domain). -
Cause
This issue is being tracked as Defect ID 403519. -
Resolution
STATUS
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Active Roles.
WORKAROUND
Use a HOSTS workaround file to re-direct connections to any Active Roles Administration Service FQDN to the IP Address of the desired Active Roles Administration Service. -
