Memory leak in w3wp.exe on the Active Roles Web Interface host
Description

After installing Active Roles 8.1.1, customers may experience an issue with the w3wp.exe process continuing to consume memory until low-resource errors appear on the Active Roles Web Interface host and applications start to crash.

This issue only appears in some configurations and environments. Not all installations of Active Roles 8.1.1 are affected.
Resolution

WORKAROUND 1

Try a different certificate from a different Certificate Authority.

WORKAROUND 2

Regularly restart the IIS service in order to flush memory.

WORKAROUND 3

Delete the HTTPS binding configured in the IIS Manager and then perform an IISRESET in an elevated command prompt.
