Description
Attempting to integrate Azure with Active Roles in the Active Roles Configuration Center fails with the error:
Method 'get_SerializationSettings' in type
'Microsoft.Azure.Management.Internal.Resources.ResourceManagementClient' from assembly
'Microsoft.Azure.PowerShell.Clients.ResourceManager, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' does not have an implementation. -
Cause
There is a failure in a dependency with the Az.Accounts PowerShell module.
This is an issue with a number of version of the Az.Accounts PowerShell module and has been encountered in multiple environments and with multiple products.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Uninstall all of the currently installed versions of Az.Accounts and install only a known working version, such as Az.Accounts version 2.12.1 or lower
In an elevated PowerShell session on the Active Roles Administration Service host, run the following cmdlet to uninstall all versions of Az.Accounts:
Uninstall-Module Az.Accounts -Force
After this completes successfully, run the following cmdlet:
Install-module Az.Accounts -RequiredVersion 2.12.1 -Force
