Unable to update the credentials use to manage a domain, failing with the error "The logon attempt failed."
Description

When attempting to update the credentials used to manage a domain in the Active Roles Console, the attempt fails with the
error:

The logon attempt failed.

Attempting to use a known bad password fails with the error:

The user name or password is incorrect.
Cause

Obsolete cached information in the Active Roles server cache.
Resolution

WORKAROUND

Clear the Active Roles server cache as per this resource .
