How to: Default new Azure Distribution Group SMTP prefix to a different value

There is a requirement to change the default primary smtp address suffix that is initially shown on the create new Azure Distribution Group form. For example, helpdesk creates a new 365/Azure DG in Active Roles shows the default domain smtp suffix as @subdomain.onmicrosoft.com. The helpdesk has to click the drop down and select @example.com domain. Is there a way to make it default to @example.com instead of @subdomain.onmicrosoft.com?.

Status:
Currently in v8.1.5, new ARS policies cannot scope Azure Distribution Group objects, a new Enhancement Request #458463 has been raised to include this functionality in a future version of Active roles.

Add a Generation and Validation policy within the existing "Built-in Policy - Azure Cloudonly - Default Rules to Generate Properties":

With this approach, it will ignore what is selected in the WI and will set the EXO Distribution Group SMTP address with the one set as default in the builtin policy.
