Quick Search returns with the error IDX12729: Unable to decode the header -
Description
When doing a 'Quick Search' Web Interface returns the following error.
"IDX12729: Unable to decode the header '[PII of type 'System.String' is hidden. For more details, see https://aka.ms/IdentityModel/PII.]' as Base64Url encoded string. IDX12729: Unable to decode the header '[PII of type 'System.String' is hidden. For more details, see https://aka.ms/IdentityModel/PII.]' as Base64Url encoded string. Method not found: 'Void System.Text.Json.Utf8JsonReader..ctor(System.ReadOnlySpan`1<Byte>, System.Text.Json.JsonReaderOptions)'." -
Cause
An unsupported version of the PowerShell modules required installed. -
Resolution
1 - Run the below cmdlets to remove all these modules:
- Uninstall-Module ExchangeOnlineManagement -Allversions
- Uninstall-Module Az.Accounts -Allversions
- Uninstall-Module Az.Resources -Allversions
- Uninstall-Module Microsoft.Graph -Allversions
2 - Run the below cmdlets to install supported versions:
- Install-Module -Name ExchangeOnlineManagement -RequiredVersion 3.0.0
- Install-Module -Name Az.Accounts -RequiredVersion 2.10.3
- Install-Module -Name Az.Resources -RequiredVersion 6.4.1
- Install-Module -Name Microsoft.Graph -RequiredVersion 1.17.0
After reinstalling the PowerShell modules, restart the Active Roles Administration Service.
