Dynamic Groups not updating after applying Active Roles 8.2.1 SP4 -
Description
In Active Roles 8.2.1 SP4, if the option to Add this message to the Notes field for each dynamic group is de-selected on the Built-in Policy - Dynamic Groups Policy, then the Dynamic Group Updater Scheduled Task fails with the following errors in the Active Roles Admin Service event log for each Dynamic Group, and Dynamic Groups fail to update:Error:Operation failed

Resolution
WORKAROUND
If the option Add this message to the Notes field for each dynamic group is de-selected in the Built-In Policy Dynamic Groups Policy:
- Re-enable the option. Ensure there is valid text in the field.
- Re-run the Scheduled Task, Dynamic Group Updater.
NOTE: A single space for the text field will not work.
STATUS
This issue has been identified as Defect 545631 and One Identity will be releasing a fix as part of Active Roles 8.2.1 Service Pack 5. We will update this KB with the release date once available.
