Identity Manager executes daily maintenance tasks automatically. These tasks can be found in Designer by selecting Base Data then click to expand General and select Schedules and loading the schedule called "Daily Maintenance Tasks".
As with any other database, it is important to perform monitoring and maintenance of a One Identity Manager database. This will take the form of standard database maintenance tasks such as managing table indexes and database statistics. Some further reading on this subject could include:
