Beschreibung
When logging into the web portal users see the following error:
"Login failed VI.Base.ViException: Wrong user name or password."
This error occurs when using LdapAuthenticator (LDAP user account (role based)) to load the base object in the root of the directory. -
Ursache
The authenticator logs into the RootDN of the LDAP directory (bind) with the user distinguished name (DN) to be authenticated, but the entry point is the root. Then, using RefreshCache (), an attempt is made to load this base object, which in most cases fails due to missing authorisations. -

STATUS
A fix for Defect 33107 is available from Support. Please contact Support, providing the affected version of Identity Manager and quote Defect 33107.The fix for Defect 33107 is included in versions 8.1.3 of Identity Manager and newer.
