The Golden Ticket is the Kerberos authentication token for the KRBTGT account. This is a special hidden account which is used to encrypt all the authentication tokens for the DC. For internal security reasons, some organisations occasionally reset this ticket.

Resetting the Golden Ticket does not impact any Authentication Services (vasd) process nor does it impact any users.
