Directory Sync status does not update and not able to run a manual sync

Directory syncs are set to occur every hour, and they were doing so until 2:55 AM EST today. After trying to force a sync on the asset through the GUI and the Swagger page, it still shows 2:55 AM as the last sync attempt.

WORKAROUND

This can likely be explained by the fact that the current sync operation is still running in the background. It will not be possible to initiate a manual sync, until the current sync job has completed. 

It may be that the sync is taking longer to complete, than the schedules interval permits. If you have it scheduled to run every hour, but it takes more than an hour to complete, it would be necessary to increase the time interval. A new sync cannot begin, until the previous one has completed.


STATUS

An enhancement has been submitted to improve the way the sync status is displayed / reported and to also improve the error message that is displayed when a manual sync fails to initiate.
