What does the ‘Set default password’ option on account discovery rules do? Does this cause an initial password reset to occur? (4229139)

On account discovery rules there is an option to set a default password when an account is discovered, what does this do?

When adding accounts via account discovery, are initial password resets performed?

If set default password is selected, the password entered into this field will be used as a placeholder for the discovered account until the first password change occurs according to its schedule.

This default password is only set in Safeguard for Privileged Passwords, and is not set on the asset. 

If set default password is not selected, no password is set until the password is changed for the first time on the asset. If the account is requested before the password is changed an error may result. 

A password reset will occur upon discovery if these conditions are met:

• Change Password profile has to be set for a schedule other than Never
• The account must not have existed in Safeguard prior to account discovery otherwise it will not modify existing accounts through discovery.
• Discovery rule must also be set to Automatically Manage found accounts
