Included in version 6.1 of Safeguard Authentication Services a build with Control-flow Enforcement Technology (CET) enabled for Linux x86_64 architecture. The build package is in the folder /client/linux-x86_64-rh8.
This package is only for RHEL 8 and later. If it is installed on RHEL 7 the following will be seen.
[root@jb-rhel7 tmp]# vastool status
/opt/quest/bin/.vastool: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.25' not found (required by /opt/quest/lib64/libvas.so.4)
/opt/quest/bin/.vastool: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.28' not found (required by /opt/quest/lib64/libvtcachesql.so.1)
/opt/quest/bin/.vastool: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.25' not found (required by /opt/quest/lib64/libvtcachesql.so.1)
/opt/quest/bin/.vastool: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.25' not found (required by /opt/quest/lib64/libstdc++.so.6)
/opt/quest/bin/.vastool: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.18' not found (required by /opt/quest/lib64/libstdc++.so.6)
If this occurs the previous working version of SAS should be forced back and the correct package should then be installed.
For example:
1) [rhel7 linux-x86_64]# rpm -Uvh --force vasclnt-5.0.7-10004.x86_64.rpm
warning: vasclnt-5.0.7-10004.x86_64.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA512 Signature, key ID 4417450c: NOKEY
