"Exit" button in "My Managed Resources" in Self-Service provides unexpected results (4377980)

In an Active Roles Self-Service Web Interface site (such as the default ARWebSelfService site), in My Managed Resources, selecting an object and a command (such as General Properties of a group) opens up the properties screen. Upon click Exit on this screen, instead if being returned to the My Managed Resources selection screen, the user is instead shown the Members tab of the selected group.

This is currently expected behaviour.

By default, the Exit button will launch the Default Command of the selected object. For groups, this is the Members command.

WORKAROUND

In the Active Roles Console, as an Active Roles Admin:

1. Select View | Mode | Raw Mode
2. Navigate to Configuration | Application Configuration and click on the Web Interface container
3. Match the Description column to the name of the Active Roles Web Interface configuration that is applied in the Active Roles Configuration Center on the Web Interface tab
4. Expand Interface Settings and open Advanced Properties on the WorkingCopy
5. Find the edsaWISettings attribute
6. Back up the unmodified attribute value to a known location so that it can be restored if needed
7. In the GlobalSettings node, find the OpenFormInSeparateWindow setting
8. By default this will be OpenFormInSeparateWindow="false". Set it to OpenFormInSeparateWindow="true"
9. Save this modification
10. As an Active Roles Admin, log into the Self-Service site, expand Customization and choose Reload to post the change
11. Execute IIRESET in an elevated command prompt on all Active Roles Web Interface hosts with the same Active Roles Web Interface configuration applied to post the change everywhere

STATUS

An Enhancement Request has been created to change this functionality in Active Roles.

Product Management will evaluate the request and this feature may become available in a future release of the product.

There are no guarantees that this specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release.
