Install will not work on systems that have been updated to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Is 10.9 supported? -
Causa
OS X 10.9 Mavericks does not work on versions of Authentication Services lower than 4.1.0.20853.

STATUS:
MAC OSX 10.9 Maverick is supported on version 4.1.0.21140 and up.

STEPS TO INSTALL on Mac 10.9:
1 - Download Authentication Services 4.1.0.21140 or higher which can be downloaded from:
https://support.quest.com/authentication-services/download-new-releases
then look at the date field and the latest date will be the 4.1.0.2140 under Software heading2 - Extract the download with a compresion utility
3 - Navigate to client/macos-108 folder
4 - Run the VAS-4.1.0.*.dmg or the install.sh from the terminall app as root
