"Access is Denied" error message shown in Control Center when trying to install a license file -

When attempting to install a new license file using Control Center the following error message appears:

Failed to add license(s)
Access is denied.
From File: 'Path to license file'

This issue occurs when you are not logged on as the administrator user.
Note that even adding the user to the Domain Admins group does not resolve the issue.
The Control Center debug log shows this error:

Causa
Permissions issue when running license add command in Control Center. -
Resolución
WORKAROUND 1:
Use the 'Run as administrator' option when opening Control Center.
WORKAROUND 2:
Try adding the license file using the command line on one of the Unix/Lunux servers joined to the domain

- Copy the license file to a server that is joined to the domain and using Safeguard Authentication services version 5.x.
- Log on to the server as root and change directory to the location of the license file.
- Run the following command to add the license to the QAC in Active Directory:
# /opt/quest/bin/vastool -u <admin_user> license add <license_file>
Replace <admin_user> with your admin user name and <license_file> with the name of your license file
E.g
# /opt/quest/bin/vastool -u administrator license add AuthenticationServcs-123-456-789.dlv
- Open Control Center to see if the license is also now shown there.

WORKAROUND 3:
This error message can also occur if the licenses OU has the following option set in Active Directory:
Protect object from accidental deletion
The location of the licenses OU in Active Directory Users and Computes is:
Program Data > Quest Software => Authentication Services => {786E0064-A470-46B9-83FB-C7539C9FA27C} => Licenses
Make sure that the tick box is NOT selected under the Object tab in the Properties for this OU.
