Solaris SMF name service/switch doesn't config properly when VASD is enabled. getent passwd/group comes back empty after installing QAS & joining on solaris 11.4 -
Descripción
On the Solaris server, SMF name-service switch (NSS) config is not configured properly. The /etc/nsswitch.conf is setup by "vastool configure nss".
Setup by the following command:
1) svcadm refresh name-service/switch;
2) nscfg import -f refresh name-service/switch
getent passwd/group comes back empty after installing QAS & joining on solaris 11.4 -

* nss: Add support for NSSv2, allowing QAS to work on Solaris 11.4 Release. -
Resolución
STATUS:
Fixed in QAS 4.1.6.23658 and later.

When upgrading from an older version of QAS re-configuring NSS on the system may also be required to resolve this issue. To do that run the following two commands: /opt/quest/bin/vastool unconfigure nss /opt/quest/bin/vastool configure nss
