Syslog-ng issues the error "TID already used".
This can occur in Version 6.0.x of Syslog-ng PE as well as can be seen after upgrading from 6.0.x to version 7.0.x of Syslog-ng PE.
Errors can look similar to the following:
syslog-ng-server syslog-ng[]: Syslog connection accepted; fd='37', client='AF_INET(10.10.10.10:10001)', local='AF_INET(0.0.0.0:9000)'
syslog-ng-server syslog-ng[]: ALTP switch to ZLIB: OK; client='10.10.10.10'
syslog-ng-server syslog-ng[]: TID is already used; proto='0xd2b3d0', TID='fb000000000', client='10.10.10.10'
syslog-ng-server syslog-ng[]: Syslog connection closed; fd='37', client='AF_INET(10.10.10.10:10001)', local='AF_INET(0.0.0.0:9000)'
Resolution:
This issue was fixed in Syslog-ng PE version 7.0.17. Please upgrade directly to this version or to the newest version of Syslog-ng PE.
