To set the time of the Primary Appliance:
1. Open a browser and connect to Primary Appliance /admin interface
2. Select System Status/Settings | Date/Time Configuration | System Date from the menu.
3. Enter the date.
4. Enter the time.
5. Click the Save Settings button.
NOTE: If the TPAM appliance is configured to synchronize with an NTP server then the ability to manually set the system date and time is disabled.
TPAM can use network time protocol (NTP) to keep the system clock in synchronization with a time server.
To configure NTP:
1. Select System Status/Settings | Date/Time Configuration | NTP Config from the menu.
2. Enter the network address of a primary and secondary (optional) NTP server.
3. Select the Enable Time Synchronization check box.
4. Click the Save Settings button.
To set the Time and Date settings on a Replica appliance.
1. Open a browser and connect to Primary Appliance /admin interface
2. Select System Status/Settings | Cluster Management from the menu.
3. Select the Replica Appliance from Cluster Members on left hand side
4. On the Details tab, click the "Force Failover" button.
5. Open a new browser and connect to Replica Appliance /admin interface
6. Select System Status/Settings | Date/Time Configuration | System Date from the menu.
7. Enter the date.
8. Enter the time.
9. Click the Save Settings button.
NOTE: The time must be specified as the current UTC time. Do not adjust for your local timezone or daylight savings.
To configure NTP on a Replica:
1. Select System Status/Settings | Date/Time Configuration | NTP Config from the menu.
2. Enter the network address of a primary and secondary (optional) NTP server.
3. Select the Enable Time Synchronization check box.
4. Click the Save Settings button.
To fail back the Replica after the Time and Date settings have been adjusted
1. Open a browser and connect to Primary Appliance /admin interface
2. Select System Status/Settings | Cluster Management from the menu.
3. Select the Replica Appliance from Cluster Members on left hand side
4. On the Details tab, click the "Un-Force Failover" button.
5. Monitor the Cluster Status tab and the Cluster Log to confirm that replication is resuming as normal.
The Time and Date settings will now be in sync on both appliances. It is possible to set a display time, so that certain pages will show the time according to the user's local time zone, however, the server time will always be set to UTC time behind the scenes.
Adjust Time Settings via Global Settings
1. Open a browser and connect to Primary Appliance /admin interface
2. Select System Status/Settings | Global Settings from the menu
3. Select "User Control" from the Catagory Filter dropdown
4. Change the "Default User Timezone" to the required timezone.
The Allow User Timezone Changes setting is set to Yes by default and allows users to change the timezone details of their account on a per user basis.
How to change the Users Timezone
1. Login to /tpam interface
2. Click on the UserName menus top right of interface | Select User Details
3. Adjust the User Timezone Information via the dropdown.
