A manager does not see the option to set one of their responsible employees to inactive in the API web portal.
The same is true when attempting to view this column via an API call:

Causa
Permission problem -
Risoluzione
The "isinactive" URL parameter can only be called by members of the identity administrator role (VI_4_PERSONADMIN).
Users with the Employee Administrator role will see the option in the API web portal to set a user to inactive.
