Is it possible to get a list of all users and their last logon date other than using CAM? -

Yes, this can be done through the User Reports.
From the Administration Console click on Reports and then Users Reports.
The default listing will show all users and their last login date, it has page forward ability and the list can be exported.
Clicking on the individual user provides previous login dates and details.
