Error message in system log after upgrading "Dec 20 10:11:53 server01 vasd[1295]: DoesVgpVersionMatchVasVersion: vgptool version mismatch, UNKNOWN (vgptool) != 5.0.4.51162 (vasd), skipping until after upgrade" (4285192)

Vasd checks the wrapper script /opt/quest/bin/vgptool directly for a version number.

If this wrapper script has been customised then check the version entry that it contains.

Use the following command to check the wrapper script version entry:

# head /opt/quest/bin/vgptool

It should display something like:

Check if it shows the new version on the "SAS Version" line.

If the error message shows 'UNKNOWN' then the wrapper script is from an older version of Safeguard Authentication services and shows "QAS Version"

Change QAS to SAS and ensure that the correct version number is also entered.
