Error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." (4321400)

Reproduction of this issue in the helpdesk module:

• Select <Modify> next to the staff member of an existing call.
• Press "Last used" at the bottom of the pop-up and select a staff member or staff group.
• Error: "Popup0_Popup0_ControlRef2_Container17_ControlRef1_Container1_ToolbarButton1_Method. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

This is a product defect (34131).
