Impact on Active Roles when upgrading Domain and Forest functional level (4323018)

What is the impact on Active Roles when raising the Domain and Forest functional levels of Active Directory?

Active Roles will not be adversely affected when the Domain and Forest functional levels are raised, as long as the functional level does not exceed the compatibility guidelines noted in the release notes of the installed Active Roles version. The Administration Service must be restarted in order to pick up the new options available from the level being raised.

The Windows Server version of the Active Roles host should match or exceed the Domain functional level.
