RDP Slowness / Connection Breaks / DNS Timeout -
Descrizione
Adding any route into SPS routing table breaks RDP session in a weird way. Session keeps connecting, asking for credentials in never-ending loops, but the session never establishes.
Experiencing slowness in HTTP connections.
Establishing a monitored connection has been slow from version 6 LTS to 7 LTS. -
Causa
Product defect 340569 and 418170.
The issue is that the client after a redirection waits for more than 10 sec and the redirection cache will be purged for this short period.
If the DNS server is fake or got a valid name or NX record, the issue will not come up.
The connection between the default route and this issue is that the proxy tries to resolve the client address with a reachable DNS before the auth cache has been checked and because there is another issue in the DNS timeout here: 418170 the maximum 10 sec has been reached by the second issue.

STATUS:
Issue is fixed in SPS versions 7.0.5 LTS and 7.5 Feature release
WORKAROUND:
A workaround could be viable if the DNS server answers the NX domain instead of waiting for 10 sec. -

Question Raised: Is it possible to change SPS config with CLI to minimize this waiting time for DNS response or stop reverse DNS lookups as a workaround instead of configuring the DNS server? Unfortunately it is not possible to solve this issue by a simple configuration change. It would be highly advised to configure a DNS server, until the fix is available.
