As of QAS 4.2 vasd is no longer changing computer account passwords according to the password-change-interval setting.
This issue is being tracked by defect ID # 226692.

WORKAROUND
The computer passwords can be manually changed per the instructions found in KB 106070.
STATUS
This issue is resolved as of Authentication Services 4.2.4.
