If debug mode is enabled for a prolonged period of time in SSB > Basic Settings > Troubleshooting > System Debug and if the Stop button is clicked to disable it, the following situation may occur.
Clicking on "Stop" debug mode does not get disabled, it keeps running with the following message being displayed

And the Web UI may be unable to save the collected debug info.
When debug mode is enabled the current system state info is written to the file /opt/ssb/var/debug/state. If this file gets too big then it may no longer get written to and hang.
If debug mode cannot be disabled on the Web UI, it can be disabled from the CLI as follows.
1. Login into the core firmware with SSH
2. Delete /opt/ssb/var/debug/state file
# rm -f /opt/ssb/var/debug/state
