When starting a PSM session that connects to a target system via ssh, the "putty" session may fail to connect and be accompanied by a "Broken pipe" error message.
This can be due to a timeout value, LoginGraceTime, configured in sshd_config on the target system.
When starting the PSM session, "putty" is likely to be started on the TPAM console or DPA before the PSM JNLP application starts on the user's desktop.
Once the "putty" connection is initiated, the target system's LoginGraceTime counter is started. If the LoginGraceTime is exceeded before the JNLP application starts and the user confirms the server's host key (and enters the password for Interactive login), then the ssh connection is terminated by the target system, and the "Broken pipe" message is seen.

Causa
This can be due to a timeout value, LoginGraceTime, configured in sshd_config on the target system. -
Risoluzione
Start another xterm within the PSM session.
To help avoid the issue, the LoginGraceTime value in sshd_config on the target system can be increased.
The LoginGraceTime value is applicable for the "Security Alert prompt" regarding the host key not cached should the user require a longer time to click the Accept / Connect Once button.
