Description
Transporting SAP project containing schema type extension into and opening said project in new environment causes error:
"Type alias (CCC-5A971D8660A03B00C00203BB459CE248) not found!" -
Cause
Schema type extensions for SAP projects require an entry for CCC-5A971D8660A03B00C00203BB459CE248 in QBMClrType.
The Synchronization editor is creating this entry when an SAP project is saved, so a newly created environment doesn't have this entry. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
In the target environment, create a dummy SAP project before opening the transported SAP project. Alternatively, for the first time transporting a project into the new environment do so via project shell export as described here.
STATUS
Development has recorded defect entries VPR#27687 and VPR#31876 and fixed the defect in version 8.1 SP1 and higher. Please note that sync projects should be transported with the "Transport of synchronization projects" mode of the transporter which was introduced in version 8.1. Using "Transport selected objects" would still result in the error described above. For earlier versions, use the workaround described in the WORKAROUND section. -
