1. Using PowerShell, run the command:
a. Add-PsSnapin Quest.DataGovernance
b. Get-QManagedHosts
i. Copy the value for "ManagedHostID"
2. Open Manager:
a. "Data Governance" | "Managed Hosts"
b. Double Click the managed host
c. Double Click "Shares"
d. Right-Click on the share you want to verify, and select "Copy Resource Path"
3. Back in PowerShell, run the command:
a. Get-QResourceActivity -ManagedHostID [ManagedHostID] -Resources "[Resource Path]"
This will confirm that there is activity being collected by the agents, being sent by the DGE server to the DGE Activity Database, and therefore it's exportable via the DGE PowerShell commands.
Another way to verify that data is in the Activity Database for a managed share:
1. Open Manager:
a. "Data Governance" | "Managed Hosts"
b. Double Click the managed host
c. Double Click "Shares"
d. Right-Click on the share you want to verify, and select "Calculate Perceived Owners"
