Active Directory provisioning tasks are freezing (4334406)

When attempting to provision an object to Active Directory the following error is displayed in the job service log:

"the system connection is read-only! You cannot modify it!"

Follow the steps below to disable the target system connection as read only:

1. Open Synchronization Editor.

2. Load the sync project in question.

3. Click on "Target system"

4. Click on the Setup button

5. Uncheck the box next to "Connection is read only".

6. Click the OK button

7. Click "Commit to database"

At this point the frozen jobs with the error stating the connection is read-only can now be restarted.
