Getting error when viewing Employee data in Manager -
Description
When viewing the Employee data in Manager the following error is displayed if the VI.Devexpress.dll is not installed:"[1025314] Document (Smith, John (JOHN_SMITH)) could not be opened![909005] Form (FrmElementNavigation) from archive (Common.Forms) could not be created!...[994015] The type (RichEditControl) could not be resolved!It is either wrong or its assembly was not loaded!" -
Cause
This is expected behaviour. This dll will not get installed if a user chooses the workstation/administration option during the installation. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Install the Configuration and Administration Machine roles.
STATUS
The behavior has changed in version 8.1, in that specific version the VI.Devexpress.dll is installed when choosing the administration option for the Workstation Machine role.
