You may have noticed that when running the following cmdlet:
Get-QADComputer -LdapFilter "(description=server2 (Infra))" –proxy
The following error is thrown:
Get-QADComputer: Unknown error (0x80041070)
The same cmdlet works successfully without the –proxy switch.
This is by design, when brackets are used in LDAP filter, Active Roles considers it as a sub-filter.
An enhancement request (TF00762189) has been created detailing the feature: include support for brackets in LDAP filter.
WORKAROUND
Use escape sequence instead of brackets, for example:
Get-QADComputer -LdapFilter "(description=server2 \28Infra\29)" –Proxy
Character | Hex Representation |
( | \28 |
) | \29 |
STATUS
The product team will evaluate the request and this feature may become available on a future release of the product.
