ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: Active Roles Web Interface configured with EDMServiceType=3 connects to an Active Roles Administration Service without regards for SQL Server status

There are a few different configuration options to determine how the Active Roles Web Interface connects to an Active Roles Administration Service.

EDMServiceType=3 will fail over to another Active Roles Administration Service node if the current Active Roles Administration Service node is completely inaccessible (if the Active Roles Administration Service service is stopped or if port 15172 is blocked) but it currently will not fail over if there is a problem with the SQL Server backend.

The Active Roles Web Interface will continue attempting to connect to the same Active Roles Administration Service until the SQL Server issue is resolved.

This is expected functionality.

STATUS

An Enhancement Request has been created to integrate this functionality into Active Roles.
Product Management will evaluate the request and this feature may become available in a future release of the product.
There are no guarantees that this specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release.
