Error during the setting of the authentication process:
"RstsApiSettingsException: API settings cannot be saved because of the following: Administration Service encountered an error when retrieving properties of the object 'CN=820 Rsts Api Settings,CN=820 Rsts Configuration,CN=Web Interface,CN=Application Configuration,CN=Configuration'. Object 'CN=820 Rsts Api Settings,CN=820 Rsts Configuration,CN=Web Interface,CN=Application Configuration,CN=Configuration' not found in the Active Roles database."
원인
The issue is due to the previous authentication federation configured and happens only when the in-place upgrade is made. The issue is being tracked by the following defect id# 465344.
해결 방안
WORKAROUND
1 - Uninstall rSTS service by running the following cmdlet on prompt "Rsts.exe -uninstall" connected as Administrator, make the user who is executing the command in the following directory C:\Program Files\One Identity\Active Roles\8.2\Web\RSTS>;
2 - Run the following SQL query against the Active Roles Configuration Center;
NOTE: Make sure to backup the Configuration DB before running it.
update [ActiveRoles820].[dbo].[WebInterface] set edsaWISettings = NULL where name = '820 Rsts Configuration'
3 - Change the IsRstsConfigured to 0 registry from the key Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\Configuration\Web
4 - Install rSTS service by running the following cmdlet on the prompt "Rsts.exe -install" connected as Administrator, make the user who is executing the command in the following directory C:\Program Files\One Identity\Active Roles\8.2\Web\RSTS>;
5 - Restart Active Roles Admin Service, close and open up the Config Center;
STATUS Waiting for a fix in a future release of Active Roles.
