WI: icons not displayed when sites are accessed via IE. (4276497)

You may have noticed that icons are not being displayed when sites are accessed via IE, but work correctly when using another browser. In IE’s Developer Tools (Console tab) the following errors can be seen:

@font-face encountered unknown error.

@font-face failed OpenType embedding permission check. Permission must be Installable.

IE is configured to prevent fonts from being downloaded.

Solution

Allow IE to download fonts and/or use a different browser.
